Königsbrunn

A young, rising town with 27,000 inhabitants on whose ground, however, in the year 955, the famous battle on the Lechfeld (king Otto I) against the Hungarians took place. Even in earlier times, the old Roman road Via Claudia served as important link between north and south. The determined, modern town shows high free-time value: with the theme pool Königstherme with ice-point and the recreation area Ilsesee as well as the Königsbrunner Heide with the largest appearance of swampland gladioluses in Europe. Due to its central location the Bavarian capital Munich as well as the royal castle are within short distance.
