Swabian towns in Bavaria

2024

Weissenhorn

  • Small historic town (13,000 inhabitants) situated in the middle of the Danube-Iller area connecting Bavaria and Badem-Württemberg. It is center of the rural space in the county Neu-Ulm. Middle Ages and modern times form a charming contrast. The motorway Würzburg-Lindau/Füssen just next door makes ways short. Embedded between Alb and Alps, Allgaeu and Upper Swabia, the town has its particular charm and promises interesting hours to its visitors. A rich and varied spiritual and cultural program attracts art lovers and offers unexpected variety. Traditional celebrations like the Leonhardiritt (a horse ride), carnival procession and the historic city center celebration attract thousands of visitors every year.
